Well, the creative well had run a little dry, and it had started to feel like it was all too much work (as if there wasn't enough of that already!).
Then, this morning, CraftyCow and I abandoned Captain Awesome, Mr Crafty and the broods - dragging only the calf and Spacey on our expedition. Off we went to The Stitches and Craft Show - excited about a day of freedom and an abundance of supplies and inspiration. Does it get any better?????
Inspired we were! The colours, the textures, the passion - it was AMAZING!!!! We had the fortune of attending a workshop of an energetic and enthusiatic blogger who gave the final kick needed to give blogging a go. I will include her link later (as I don't have her card right now...more on THAT further on!).
We snaffled up the bargains and were so overwhelmed by ideas that we gave up trying. Thank God for the internet - we just have to explore everyone else's blogs and sites!
The show was just what we needed - once again we feel the drive and it WILL happen.
We did end the day sadly... due to an unforeseen altercation between a leaky water bottle, a plastic hand bag and a car alarm remote - we couldn't get in to Eva (the car)! After bemoaning our plight to the love Sewing Machine Ladies they made their best attempts to open the remote for us to dry it out... alas, it was not to be. One even tried her own remote, appreciated though futile. After a stint of looking rather peculiar in the Ladies trying to dry it under the hand dryer through the button areas, another try was to no avail. Captain Awesome rescued the crew, but Eva had to be left behind. The worst part? Most of our beautiful, shiny new toys were in the boot of Eva, due to an earlier 'great idea' on my behalf to put them there so we didn't have to lug it around! So, we came home inspired... and itching to get our stuff!
Hopefully, it will be rescued tomorrow - we need it for Tuesday! Which leads me to the most important thing of all *drum roll please* The Weekly Creative Challenge!!!!
Each week, on Tuesday, a new Creative Challenge will be set. Unless stated otherwise, there will be one week to complete the project. All suggestions are welcome, and completed projects will be posted, along with instructions where relevant or requested.
So until the Challenge announcement on Tuesday,
Have Fun Playing!!!
